Depp as Dillinger

Last night, the new beau and I made our way to Public Enemies, the new Johnny Depp move, directed by Michael Mann. It really was something. It had all the grit and grime of a good ganster movie- enough to make any guy sit at the edge of his seat, while there was also an involved love story, and some pretty sad parts, particularly near the end. It was almost enough to make a girl cry. All in all, between the cars and the guns and the sex and the love… who wouldn’t want to see it. Plus I would have to say it was one of Depp’s best performances in a while. He plays a serious character, and you really believe every moment.
