Beauty Bar, part II

Monday night, old friend Maxwell57 turned 21, and to celebrate, invited friends out to the new Beauty Bar Brooklyn. This remake of an old classic is certainly quite a thing. Not really all that different from the original, however their deliveries are a little behind (on Monday they hadn’t had a delivery in 3 days, and so ran out of many a beer), and their kitchen has yet to open for business. The decor is fun and familiar, with old-school hair driers for lamps above the bar, as well as seats along the wall away from the bar. The DJ booth has been place in the front, as a window display, which will I’m sure make for some interesting moments in the future. The sound system could use a few tweaks, or that might have been the choice of the various DJs through the night to have every song at a different level, and often almost too loud. Overall though, I would say it’s a fun and friendly place. If you’re looking for familiarity on the other side of the bridge, it’s the place for you.
