Weekend Wonders

This past weekend, I celebrated my friend Nick’s birthday with him and some friends. Thanks to his new job at Marc Jacobs, Nick was able to give himself the gift of dressing his boyfriend in head-to-toe MJ, which was great (for both of them). For our gift, we all went to see Fuerza Bruta with him. It was amazing! I don’t have the clearest memory of what De La Guarda was like, but I do remember being amazed, and that was kind of like this (only now I’m an adult, and then I was a child). It’s great for people in their early- to mid-20s, although they’ll let in anyone over the age of 9. It’s not the kind of show with a plot per se, so don’t go if that’s going to bother you. There is however, a lot of action, and interaction, and an interesting sort of flow.

All together, I thought the show was great, and the fact that Nick and his friends went and partied in the shower-disco at the end of the show was great too.
