So… apparently Michael Phelps was caught taking a hit from a bong. Nothing wrong with that (in my mind anyway). What I really don’t understand is why a British newspaper broke the story, rather than an American one, when the alleged event occurred in South Carolina. Why would the person who took the picture send it all the way to News of the World instead of one of the many fabulous tabloids in the States?
